Villa Gorgognano is situated on a hill in the municipality of Certaldo, between Florence and Siena, a few kilometres from San Gimignano, within the boundaries of the Chianti area. A territory characterised by extraordinary landscapes, ancient villages, castles, parish churches, villas and farms. The manor house of Gorgognano is a nineteenth-century building that has the typical characteristics of a Tuscan country house; the restoration of the spaces dedicated to hospitality maintained the distribution and the original elements, the pre-existing materials have been recovered and restored: the terracotta, the pietra serena (“Firenzuola stone”), the windows and doors in cypress wood and the period furnishings.
